Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the backend architecture of the road inspection platform.
  • Integrate sensor data (LiDAR, infrared, digital imaging) into the core software system.
  • Build secure APIs for data transmission and client dashboard access.
  • Ensure system scalability, reliability, and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with AI Engineer and Data Scientist to integrate machine learning models.
  • Perform debugging, system testing, and continuous improvement of platform functionality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in backend development.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, or similar programming languages.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of database management and data pipeline development.
  • Experience integrating AI/ML models into production environments is an asset.

Data Scientist

Responsibilities

  • Process and analyze large volumes of road infrastructure data collected from field inspections.
  • Develop data models to transform raw sensor outputs into structured analytics.
  • Support defect detection accuracy through statistical validation.
  • Maintain data integrity, storage security, and reporting pipelines.
  • Generate analytical reports for internal use and client-facing dashboards.
  • Identify data trends to support predictive maintenance features.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis or machine learning environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, R, SQL.
  • Experience with large-scale structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Knowledge of geospatial data analysis is an asset.
  • Experience working with sensor or imaging datasets preferred.

AI Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and train AI/ML models for pavement defect detection and classification.
  • Build deep learning models for image recognition and pattern detection.
  • Optimize model performance for real-time processing environments.
  • Work closely with Software Engineer to deploy models into production.
  • Conduct performance testing, validation, and model refinement.
  • Research emerging AI techniques to enhance inspection accuracy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in machine learning engineering.
  • Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of deep learning, CNNs, and computer vision.
  • Experience deploying ML models in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with LiDAR and image-based datasets is an advantage.

Field Operation Technicians (2)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site road inspections using ROADINTELI’s hardware systems.
  • Operate LiDAR, infrared, and imaging equipment safely and accurately.
  • Perform system calibration and equipment checks prior to deployment.
  • Collect and upload field data to the central system.
  • Report operational issues to the COO and technical team.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and field protocols.

Requirements

  • Diploma or technical certification in engineering, surveying, or related field.
  • Experience working with field equipment or technical systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within Canada.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.
  • Basic technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with mapping or surveying tools is an asset.

B2B Sales Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Identify and approach municipal, provincial, and private-sector infrastructure clients.
  • Develop sales pipelines and manage client outreach campaigns.
  • Present ROADINTELI’s solution to government agencies and construction firms.
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and tender documentation.
  • Maintain CRM records and monitor sales performance metrics.
  • Coordinate with technical and operational teams during client onboarding.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience (preferably public sector or infrastructure).
  • Experience in government procurement processes is an asset.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • CRM proficiency.
  • Ability to travel for meetings and industry events.

Driver

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport personnel and inspection equipment to project sites.
  • Maintain company vehicles in clean and operational condition.
  • Conduct regular vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
  • Keep accurate trip logs and time records.
  • Assist field technicians with equipment loading and unloading when required.

Requirements

  • Valid Class 5 (or equivalent) driver’s license in British Columbia.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience.
  • Familiarity with local and provincial road networks.
  • Basic mechanical awareness is an asset.

UI/UX Designer

Responsibilities

  • Design user interfaces for web and mobile inspection dashboards.
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and visual layouts.
  • Transform complex inspection data into clear, intuitive dashboards.
  • Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with accessibility standards.
  • Maintain visual consistency across all digital platforms.

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience designing digital platforms or dashboards.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, or similar tools.
  • Experience designing data-heavy interfaces.
